Pete Davidson Is “Convinced” Ariana Grande Will Dump Him: Read His Quotes

Pete Davidson is smitten. The SNL actor still can’t believe he’s engaged to songstress Ariana Grande. While chatting about his fiancée in his cover story for Variety's Power of Young Hollywood issue, Davidson joked that he thinks Ariana will dump him one day.

"I was obviously ogling and trying not to be creepy,” Davidson recalled of meeting the Sweetener songstress backstage SNL in March 2016, before dishing on his proposal. "I didn't want to do something corny," he added when it came to popping the question just three months into their relationship. "We were in bed hanging, after watching a movie. I was like, 'Will you marry me?' It was really dope."

While Ari said yes, and has since professed her love for the actor on social media and more, flashing her massive pear-shaped diamond, he joked that he still can’t believe it.

"I'm still convinced she's blind or hit her head really hard," Davidson said. "Something is going to happen, and she's going to be like, 'What the f--k is this thing doing around?' For right now, it's rocking."

"I never thought I'd meet anyone like her,” he adorably continued. “I can't even put into words how great of a person she is. I could cry. She's the f--king coolest, hottest, nicest person I've ever met. … I’m f--king living the goddamn dream. … I feel like I'm living in a fantasyland."

While they’re happier than ever together, the couple have faced their fair share of criticism.

"The internet is evil, and I don't like how it affects me," Davidson added to Variety. "I don't like how the internet is a place where anybody can s--t on you and make anything up. I've worked really hard to get my brain to this place. I can't go online like everybody else because it's just a f--k-fest. And now I get to enjoy my life."
