Ariana Grande Reveals She Is Taking 'A Breather' From Social Media

You may have to say buh-bye to Ariana Grande's antics on social media for a while because the pop super star just revealed that she may be taking a "breather" from both Twitter and Instagram for the time being.

The news that Ari is looking to take a step back from the social media platforms comes less than a day after her fiance, Pete Davidson, deleted everything on his Instagram page and then shared a message assuring fans that nothing was "wrong" but that he just wanted to take time away from it all.

He wrote, "why should I spend any time on negative energy when my real life is f—ing lit. The fact that I even have to say this proves my point. I love you all and I’m sure I’ll be back at some point."

Ariana shared a similar sentiment after a fan noticed she was back posting on Snapchat:

"just sometimes can't help but bump into some negative s*** that really can bum u out and it's not worth it honestly."

The move to a more private life is a bit surprising coming from the engaged couple who shared so much of the beginning of their relationship online just at the beginning of this summer.

It seems what sparked Pete and Ariana to step away from sharing so much was a situation from when Ariana posted a photo of her grandfather and Pete commented on it calling her grandpa a "cutie."

Some fans thought Pete was taking the time to flirt with Ariana on a sentimental post and came after him.

A little extreme over a simple comment, don't you think?

It will be interesting to see how long Ariana stays off her Twitter and Instagram accounts, though. Her album Sweetener will be released on August 17th and most artists usually use their social media as part of promoting new music.
