It’s official! Nick Jonas is reportedly engaged to girlfriend Priyanka Chopra. According to numerous reports, the singer, 25, popped the question to the actress on her 36th birthday in London after just two months of dating.
People magazine reports that the “Jealous” singer shut down a Tiffany store in New York City to buy an engagement ring.
The news comes after Indian film Bharat director Ali Abbas Zafar announced that the "Quantico" actress would be leaving his project in a cryptic tweet due to a “very, very special reason.”
“Yes Priyanka Chopra is no more part of @Bharat_TheFilm & and the reason is very very special,” he tweeted on Thursday, July 26. “She told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her ... Team Bharat wishes @priyankachopra loads of love & happiness for life 😊😉😍.”
The couple have been inseparable since stepping out publicly in May. The duo attended Nick’s cousin Rachel Tamburelli’s wedding in New Jersey on June 9 and also traveled to India to meet her family.
The actress has also been vocal about wanting to be a mother.
“I am a very ‘live in the today,’ maximum ‘live in the next two months’ kind of person,” she told People magazine. “But [in] 10 years, I definitely want to have kids. That is, it’s going to happen in the next 10 years. Well, hopefully earlier than that. I’m very fond of children and I want to be able to do that.”
Nick, who split from Olivia Culpo in 2015, is the latest Jonas Brother to propose — his brother Joe announced his engagement to Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner in October 2017 and Kevin Jonas has been happily married to Danielle since December 2009.
