He’s here! Kate Middleton has welcomed her third child with husband Prince William. The Duchess gave birth to a baby boy on Monday, April 23, Kensington Palace announced.

“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs,” the statement said. “The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.”

“The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news,” the statement continued. “Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”

Kate and William are already parents to Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, who turns 3 in May.

The palace has yet to announce the name of the newest prince, but as per royal protocol, an official announcement will be posted with the full details on an easel in the forecourt of Buckingham Palace.

Albert and Arthur are tied as the most popular names for a boy – at 5-1 and 9-1, respectively, according to British oddsmakers.
