His royal highness! Kate Middleton and Prince William debuted their newborn son just hours after he was born on Monday, April 23.
The Duchess looked stunning in a red three-quarter length sleeved dress with a sweet white lace collar. Their newborn son, whose name has yet to be revealed, was swaddled in a white blanket and kept warm with a knitted beanie. Prince William stood by his wife’s side in a blue suit.
Their third child was born earlier on Monday, April 23.
“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs,” the palace’s statement said. “The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.”
“The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news,” the statement continued. “Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”
Kate and William are already parents to Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, who turns 3 in May. The siblings were brought to the hospital by William to meet their new sibling.
While leaving the hospital, Prince William told those outside “three times the trouble!”
