Bestselling author and spiritual success DeVon Franklin joined Ryan Seacrest via Zoom on Friday, January 8, to explain why you shouldn’t make new year’s resolutions, but instead “new you” resolutions.
“I don’t believe in new year’s resolutions,” the Truth About Men author shared. “What happens with the resolutions is it’s focused on the doing,” DeVon explained. “Instead of becoming a symbol of hope, it becomes a symbol of I’m not good enough.”
Instead, he believes in “new you” resolutions.
“I believe in a new you resolution,” he shared. “Who are you going to be this year? Are you going to be kinder? Are you going to be healthier? Are you going to have more character? Are you going to be more committed? Because here’s why: When I focus on who I am and what I want to be … then I can navigate no matter what comes during the year.”
