Colton Underwood Updates Ryan Seacrest How He's Feeling Battling COVID-19

Colton Underwood is continuing to battle Coronavirus. The Bachelor alum shared with Ryan Seacrest on-air on Monday, March 23, the deadly, ever-spreading virus has left him “crippled” the past few days.

“It’s been gnarly these past few days,” Colton shared with Seacrest. “Nothing I’d ever expected.”

The 28-year-old revealed via IGTV that he tested positive for the virus on March 20.

“I just assumed I had the flu,” Colton told Seacrest. “At the beginning, [I had] headaches, body aches and then it progressively tuned pretty quickly.”

Colton explained that he woke up one morning soaking wet from night sweats and that when he tried to walk to the bathroom, he had to sit down due to extreme exhaustion.

“I knew something was off at that time,” he added. “… I was very lucky to find a doctor here in Orange County. I just went to their website … because you have to get approved to even get qualified to get tested.”

Colton shared he’s now on the two medications prescribed to those who test positive but he’s unclear what’s to come.

“I’m praying those kick in,” he said. “I have read that the second week is typically the hardest. … [And] that's the scary part: I don’t know how [or] when I got this thing.”

Colton’s is under quarantine at his girlfriend Cassie Randolph’s family's house in Huntington Beach, meaning the rest of her family is also at risk. He shared he’s been living separately on the third floor and that they leave him food and water from a distance.

“It’s important that everyone listens to staying in your house,” he stressed. “It affects everybody — not just elderly or preexisting conditions. I felt like I’m a healthy individual … and this thing sort of crippled me in the last few days.”
