It’s safe to say Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor has been an exhausting unpredictable series of events, but host Chris Harrison teased on-air with Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday, March 10, that it's still not over. In fact, there’s much more to unpack in tonight’s live finale.
ICYMI, the pilot’s remaining ladies included Hannah Ann and Madison until Madison exited the show Monday night during a dramatic sit-down with Peter. And, of course, we finally found out who Peter’s mom, Barbara, was hysterically crying over in those promos...
“I think a lot of people thought it was Madison this whole time that she was crying over but it was Hannah Ann,” Chris Harrison explained on-air. “… They just had a better connection; they really thought Hannah Ann was the girl for him … they don’t want Peter to screw this up.”
Harrison added that last night’s episode was more “like a viewing party” and during tonight’s live finale, it's going to be different.
“The ominous tease you saw at the end of the show where I’m sitting with [Madison] and I ask her ‘Do you regret what you did?’ and the big question ‘Are you still in love with Peter?’ and obviously you don’t get that answer but I promise you, you will get that tonight,” he shared. “There’s a lot left tonight.”
That said, even Chris doesn’t know what will happen.
“This one actually is different in that it’s never gone down like this before,” he teased. “I think a lot of people have this misperception of what actually happens in Australia … and then we’re going to bring all the key players back tonight and this is where we’re really going to get into the nitty gritty. … Usually I know essentially what the end result is going in so I know the buttons to push … and when you’re live, it’s very different than when you’re taping a show” he added. “… You have to get to it … you don’t have that luxury of time … so going into a show and not exactly knowing what the result is and what the end result is going to be — which I don’t, I don’t know how this is going to end yet — that's a tough thing going into a live show not really knowing.”
