Bebe Rexha Hilariously Explains Dating Fails, the 'Last Hurrah' and More

Bebe Rexha is in the house! The Grammy-nominated songstress stopped by the studio on Wednesday, February 20, and dished on everything from her new jam the “Last Hurrah” to the Grammys and her dating -- or lack thereof -- life 😂

While admitting to Ryan that yes, she talks a lot, Bebe went on to share that she went on a date recently and realized she should never do a breakfast date again ...

“I went on a date and the guy was like ‘Where do you want to go for dinner?’ And I was like ‘I can’t do that.’ That’s like too much for me. Dinner is too much for me,” the 29-year-old hilariously explained. “I was like ‘I’ll do breakfast.’ And he was like ‘Great, OK, I gotchu.’ And I was like ‘No, no, no, I have to pick the place too.’ And he was like ‘OK, control freak much.’ And I was like ‘No, I just know what I like.’ And then we went to breakfast and I talked the whole time,” she continued, revealing she'll never do a breakfast date again . “… The bad thing about going on a breakfast date is … if it goes well, they want to spend the whole day with you! He was like ‘Let’s go for a ride; Let’s go by the beach; Let’s stop by my store; Let’s go to the studio!’ I was like ‘Oh! No, no, no, no.' … If it’s a nighttime date, you can be like, ‘I’m so tired, I have to [go].’”

Dating, however, hasn’t been the most successful for Bebe, who released her first studio album, Expectations, in June 2018.

“I have no luck with guys,” she admitted to Ryan. “I actually had a tarot reader tell me … she’s like ‘You’ll date around, you’ll break some hearts, but you’re not going to have love for the next three years’ and then when I was on tour with Katy Perry, she read all my star signs — she’s really big on that — and she was like ‘Oo! Oh!’ She’s like, ‘You’ll never have love and your career at the same time.’ And I’m like, ‘That just broke my heart!’”

Success, though, she surely does have. Coming off two Grammy nominations, including one for New Artist, the singer recently dropped track "Last Hurrah."

“The [‘Last Hurrah’] was originally written because the cowriter, Lauren Christy, was eating a piece of chocolate cake and she told her husband she was not going to eat sugar and stuff anymore," Bebe shared. " ...And her husband was like ‘I thought you were on a diet?’ And she was like ‘This is my last hurrah!’ And she told me that and I was like ‘OMG! That’s me everyday! We have to write a song about that!’”
