In the words of Niall Horan, he’s aging like a fine wine! The former One Direction member phoned into On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Thursday, September 20, to chat about his new single “Finally Free” from forthcoming animated film Smallfoot.
“You get asked to do things like this a lot, … but they showed me clips of the movie, … and straight away I was like, ‘100 percent I want to do this,’” Niall recalled of lending his voice to the film’s soundtrack. “The cast is [also] amazing and it's just a very well-written movie so it's great.”
Smallfoot boasts an impressive cast including Channing Tatum, James Corden and Zendaya, who is also featured on the soundtrack.
Amid the tail end of his tour, Niall also had a minute to squeeze in celebrating his 25th birthday and joked that he’s hit a life milestone.
“My 21st was fun, my 22nd was fun and then it was kind of like a silent gap where 23 and 24 don’t really matter,” Niall recalled to Ryan. “25 seemed bigger. I’m a quarter-of-a-century now — I’m like a fine wine!”
