Demi Lovato Is Awake and Stable After Hospitalization, Rep Confirms

UPDATE: Demi Lovato's rep has released a statement confirming the singer is in stable condition. 

"Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support," her rep told Entertainment Tonight Tuesday evening. "Some of the information being reported is incorrect, and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now."⠀

Demi Lovato is reportedly in stable condition after being rushed to a local hospital in Los Angeles on Tuesday, July 24, multiple outlets report. 

After news of Demi's hospitalization broke earlier in the day per TMZ, her peers in the music industry took to Twitter to share messages of support for Demi and #PrayForDemi began trending worldwide on the social media platform. Ariana Grande tweeted, "i love u @ddlovato," while Meghan Trainor added “@ddlovato we love you 🙏🏻💗.” 

The songstress most recently dropped track “Sober” in which she admitted she had relapsed and broken her six-year sobriety streak.

“Mama, I’m so sorry I’m not sober anymore / And daddy please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor,” she sings in the ballad. “And I’m sorry for the fans I lost who watched me fall again / I wanna be a role model, but I’m only human.”

At the end of the track, Lovato concludes: “I’m sorry that I’m here again / I promise I’ll get help / It wasn’t my intention / I’m sorry to myself.”
