There’s only 11 days until iHeartRadio’s 2018 Wango Tango but we’re not counting or anything ☺️ Sabrina Carpenter is set to debut her highly anticipated new single “Almost Love” at the star-studded concert and teased to Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday, May 22, when she stopped by On Air With Ryan Seacrest that her forthcoming third studio album showcases her newfound confidence.
Sabrina is performing at the village, along with Jack & Jack, Lauv, Logan Henderson, and Farrah Mechael with more to be announced, as well as on the main stage with previously announced artists Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Meghan Trainor, 5 Seconds of Summer, NF, Miguel, Janelle Monáe, the Backstreet Boys and Marshmello with a special guest performance by Logic.
“I hear everything differently now,” Carpenter said of her creative process two years in to writing her third studio album. "It’s just you really do grow over time without even paying attention to it. … The difference with this album than my previous album before was I just kind of went into not thinking about it. Because I was touring and I felt so much more confident in myself, and what I was doing, and my abilities, and knowing I was growing, and I brought that right into the studio so I didn't have to think about anything and once you stop thinking you just go ‘Oh!’ … you take control in a different way.”
Carpenter wrote new single “Almost Love” with production duo StarGate.
"They’re amazing and it wasn’t the first song I wrote with them, but this was the first time we all just kind of let loose and had fun with it,” she added. “It’s different.”
Tanya Rad has heard the track and described it as “epic” and said it’s everything she wanted and more.
