Rihanna Talks Drake, Freezing Her Eggs, Fat Days and Dating

Rihanna doesn’t hold back in a new interview with Vogue. The songstress and Fenty beauty creator dished on everything from her relationship with ex-boyfriend Drake, freezing her eggs, being trolled about her weight and even if boyfriend, billionaire Saudi businessman Hassan Jameel, is the one.

The Grammy winner, who is launching a lingerie line, reportedly winced a little at the mention of Drake’s name. While discussing that public PDA moment when ex Drake proclaimed his love for her onstage at the VMAs in 2016, Rihanna dished that they’re no longer on-again, off-again.

“The VMAs is such a fan-focused awards show, so having that energy around me, and knowing the people who had received the [Michael Jackson Video Vanguard] award in the past, made it feel like a big deal,” she recalled. “Waiting through that speech was probably the most uncomfortable part. I don’t like too many compliments; I don’t like to be put on blast. … We don’t have a friendship now, but we’re not enemies either. It is what it is.”

She is, however, still happily dating boyfriend Hassan Jameel. While she stays mum about her romance with the billionaire, she hinted to Vogue she’s smitten.

“I used to feel guilty about taking personal time, but I also think I never met someone who was worth it before,” she said, adding: “Even mentally, just to be away from my phone, to be in the moment, that has been key for my growth. Now, when I come to work, I’m all in. Because before you know it, the years will go by. I’m glad I’m taking the time. I’m happy.”

She is human though and shared, like a majority of other women, she has anxieties about growing up.

“OK, so now that I’m 30, are there things I’m supposed to do?" she mused to Vogue. "Should I be worried? Should I be freezing my eggs? What do you do at 30?!”

Anxieties aside, she’s also never been more comfortable in her skin, despite internet trolls analyzing her weight.

“You’ve just got to laugh at yourself, honestly,” she told Vogue. “I mean, I know when I’m having a fat day and when I’ve lost weight. I accept all of the bodies. I’m not built like a Victoria’s Secret girl, and I still feel very beautiful and confident in my lingerie.”
