Cardi B is getting ready to share another new song from her upcoming album, Am I The Drama.

On Monday, August 11, the Grammy Award-winning rapper announced the release date for her new single "Imaginary Players." The title is an homage to JAY-Z's "Imaginary Players" from his 1997 album In My Lifetime, Vol. 1. Bardi and her new man, Stefon Diggs, seemingly foreshadowed the song's arrival nearly two months ago on Instagram. Soon after the announcement, Cardi B hopped on Instagram Live and talked about the direction she took for her forthcoming single.

"This single is really how I talk all day every day but in a song," she explained.

"It's like real flex s**t, real calm flex s**t type s**t, you know what I'm saying?" she continued. "If only y'all knew the story for what I had to go through with this single and to do something else but when the song come out I'm going to tell y'all more about the story."

For her announcement post, Cardi posted a brand-new photo of herself with pink hair wearing an all-white faux fur coat while seated in front of a vintage Rolls-Royce. Marc Jacobs himself also confirmed Cardi wore his runway boots in the photo.

Cardi B's new single will arrive a couple of weeks after she hosted night one of WWE SummerSlam in New Jersey and teased another unreleased song from her album. "Imaginary Players" is scheduled to drop this Friday.
