Sorry Poot fans, Demi Lovato is "never" letting her out in public.
On Monday (April 21), Lovato shared a video on their TikTok addressing the whereabouts of Poot Lovato, the "Sorry Not Sorry" singer's viral meme twin that fans created following an infamous and hilariously edited photo taken of Lovato in 2015, per Billboard.
In the clip labeled "When someone asks me to let Poot out of the basement...," Lovato lip synced along to a sound sarcastically saying, "Wow what an offer, let me sleep on it though," as Lovato stared into the camera. While she didn't reveal Poot's fate one way or another, the video's caption sends a clearer message.
"And I'm never letting her out," Lovato declared.
Several of Poot's devoted followers took to the comments to make their case on why Poot should make her triumphant return. "Free Poot" was the overwhelming message as many fans asked for "justice" but others joked that Poot is fine and has been busy in the studio working on new music.
Of course, this isn't the first time the "Confident" hitmaker has referenced the now-iconic meme. Lovato rang in their 31st birthday with cupcakes decorated in images of Poot. Lovato has also shared more videos recently poking fun at herself, from recreating a viral Camp Rock meme to begging fans to leave her alone.
