Chappell Roan is staying true to herself even if it means her career takes a hit.

In a new interview with the BBC, the "Good Luck, Babe!" singer, who is nominated for six Grammy Awards including best new artist and album of the year, explained why she won't stop using her voice to call out the harassment and "crazy" acts stars are expected to endure, such as people who "stalk" her parents, even if it means some critics will think of her as a "spoiled diva" having "tantrums," per People.

Clapping back at haters and disrespect isn't anything new to her, but the added cameras and attention that comes with her heightened fame have amplified her reactions to a new level.

"I've been responding that way to disrespect my whole life — but now there are cameras on me, and I also happen to be a pop star, and those things don't match," she said. "It's like oil and water."

The "Femininomenon" singer even thinks she would "be way bigger" and still touring if she held herself back from speaking her mind.

"I think, actually, I'd be more successful if I was okay wearing a muzzle," she joked. "If I were to override more of my basic instincts, where my heart is going, 'Stop, stop, stop, you're not okay,' I would be bigger."

The 26-year-old pop phenom has previously spoken honestly about her meteoric rise in fame over the past year and has even earned praise for creating boundaries with fans from other artists, including Miley Cyrus.
