Demi Lovato doesn't take themselves too seriously and is able to poke fun at one of their past interviews that later became a meme.
In a recent interview with Bella Kitchenware to promote their new collaboration, Lovato was given a card of questions, including one about their fiancé Jutes that read, "What does your fiancé say about your cooking? Does he have a favorite dish?"
"My fiancé loves my cooking, specifically my baking," Lovato replied, before taking the opportunity to recreate a hilarious misunderstanding-turned funny meme from a past interview. "And I think his favorite dish would probably be a mug because there's a handle that protects your hand from holding hot things."
Lovato then winked at the camera to make sure everyone knew that they are in on the joke.
The moment, which was shared on X (formerly Twitter), was a callback to 2015 interview inquiring about their favorite dish, per People. While the question was asking about the food she prefers, the "Confident" singer took a more literal approach and said mugs "because they're very comfortable in your hand." Lovato later took to social media to say that anyone who took her answer seriously "clearly [doesn't] get my sense of humor."
This isn't the first time Lovato has addressing become an internet meme, or even poked fun at her own expense. Last year, they celebrated their 31st birthday with cupcakes inspired by the "Poot Lovato" meme.
