Diplo Responds to 'Ruining' Joe Jonas' Wedding, Teases Country JoBros Song!

So is Joe Jonas actually mad at Diplo for live-streaming his surprise Las Vegas wedding to Sophie Turner?! Ryan Seacrest got down to the bottom of the drama on Monday, June 3. The three-time Grammy winner, whose real name is Wes, stopped by On Air With Ryan Seacrest and dished all, including he has a new Jonas Brothers track on the way and explained the creative behind latest drop “Spicy” with Herve Pagez and Charli XCX.

In case you missed it, the JoBros wedding drama revolves around a UK outlet asking Joe Jonas how he felt about Diplo “ruining” his wedding by live-streaming it on his IG Stories.

"I love Diplo, but he loves his 'gram more than a 13-year-old," Joe Jonas told the outlet at the time. "He posts every five seconds. He literally, like, live-streamed with dog face filters," Joe added, jokingly agreeing that "he did ruin it," causing the story to go viral.

“I’m glad you asked,” Diplo told Ryan and Sisanie when asked about the headline-making story. “I have some songs I’m doing with the Jonas Brothers and I’m friends with them and so I was talking to Joe today because there was a story that came out that he was mad at me so he called me to apologize,” Diplo explained, confirming there’s no beef.

Diplo hilariously added that in the moment, he had no idea it was their actual nuptials

“I didn’t know it was a serious wedding,” he continued. “I really didn’t know what was going on …. I was hanging out with them after the Billboard Awards … and I was like, ‘This is crazy! Let me record this!' And there were mad people with cameras — I didn’t know I was the only person recording this thing —… I was sitting next to Khalid and we were both with our phones out. I had no idea I was the only one doing it.”

It’s all good between the brothers though. In fact, Diplo and the Jonas Brothers are collaborating on their forthcoming fifth studio album Happiness Begins.

“We have a song coming out later this summer me and them — I’ve been working on some weird stuff, I’ve been doing country music — so it’s kind of a country vibe with them,” Diplo revealed, sharing his newfound obsession with country music after performing at Stagecoach this year.

“I think this year is going to be a big year because I think a lot of country music is starting to cross over,” he added. “I’m a big county fan secretly and I think I can mix it with a lot of music.”

His latest release, "Spicy," is a collaboration with Herve Pagez and features Charli XCX.

“It’s a fun record I did awhile ago — it’s actually a mix of the Spice Girls,” Diplo shared. “It took forever to get all the Spice Girls to clear it. It took literally a year and the funny things is now they’re on tour so it’s good timing. I made it as something I was DJing, just a fun thing with my friend Herve Pagez, and we just put it together … and I live next to Charli [XCX] — she’s one of my fave song writers and I live right around the corner — so I just had her come over.”
