Kim K. Reveals Exactly How the Family Handled Tristan's Cheating Scandal

Season 15 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians might be the most intense yet, and considering all things the family has been through, that’s saying a lot! Kim Kardashian confirmed just that when she phoned into On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Thursday, August 2, and revealed to Ryan that yes, cameras were rolling when the family — and subsequently the world — found out about Khloé Kardashian’s boyfriend Tristan Thompson’s cheating scandal

As previously reported, the Cavs player was caught cheating on Khloé just days before their daughter, Truewas born in April 2018.

“We definitely all had that conversation and honestly I don’t want to give too much away because we genuinely had those conversations and sometimes we were filming and sometimes we weren’t and it was more maybe when Khloé wanted her privacy and no cameras when she was in Cleveland going through that, [but] the sisters were still all filming and talking [about] how to approach it and what to do,” Kim shared, confirming that yes, the scandal will play out on KUWTK. “It was definitely new territory for us when you have a new baby coming into the world. I think ultimately we always want her to be happy, but it gets all clouded when there’s a baby and, you know? Her motherly instincts kicked in and she has to do what makes her happy so we’ll support that.”

Kim, who is the self-described calming one in the family, helped do as much damage control as she could, but revealed it was a stressful time once Khloé went into labor in Cleveland, Ohio, while they were still working in LA.

“There was a moment where we were all flying to Cleveland when she went into labor and we were filming and [mom Kris Jenner] didn’t want anyone to know she was in labor so my mom just left and got on a plane and then Khloé called us — we were with a bunch of other people in this live interview that she didn’t want to know — so she goes and gets on a plane and then me and my other sisters get on another plane and we were like ‘This is so stupid! We all need to be together and go through this!’” Kim recalled. “And it was like so much drama getting there. You’ll see it all - season 15.”

The 15th season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians will also showcase Kim taking on President Donald Trump and the White House with her mission to have Alice Marie Johnson’s sentence commuted. (Trump commuted the grandmother who has served more than 20 years in prison for a first-time, nonviolent offense in June 2018.)

“I don’t know what kicked into gear of what made me make that decision. I just saw something on the internet, a story, and it moved me and I thought you know what? I’m going to put my ego aside, my reputation aside,” Kim explained of her decision to get involved. “A lot of people get really upset if you go to the White House and I just had to really put my feelings aside and make a decision and know that I could possibly change this woman’s life and her whole family’s and I’m so happy that I did and I’m so happy that I went there and I’m so happy that the President heard me out and understood and felt compassion for this case.”

The KKW Beauty founder added that she wasn’t nervous to meet with Trump and that she’s looking forward to staying active.

“I wasn’t nervous at all. I went there with a plan and focus and I’d been working with Jared Kushner for like six months before that and he’s been so amazing getting this done and they have some real bills that they wanna pass that are so close to getting passed and I hope to continue to work with the White House and get more people out and really focus on this,” she concluded. “It’s crazy, when you think about it, to me, it’s not really a political issue, it’s a humanitarian issue, and so much is not right with the system and I’m just hoping little by little that we can fix something.”

As for season 15 of KUWTK, Kim reiterated that it truly is the most intense.

“I’m so excited. This season is honestly one of our bests. It’s so crazy … [and] I’ve seen crazy,” she concluded.
