There’s a new financial mindset gaining traction called the “soft-saving era.”
It’s basically about living in the moment and prioritizing experiences like vacations, concerts, and things that bring joy now, instead of focusing on long-term goals like buying a house or car.
Perfect example would be fans emptying out their savings to buy Harry Styles tickets.
The idea is that quality of life today matters just as much as planning for the future.
Experts say this approach can actually lower financial anxiety and help people feel more fulfilled…but they also stress that it shouldn’t mean abandoning future responsibility since you never know what could happen.
I get it…homes seem impossible to buy for many. So, living life with this YOLO mentality can be great but also dangerous! I would tread lightly…but this was basically me in my 20’s.
