So, I saw this clever idea on TikTok and it might just be the solution for your next girls’ trip (or any group hangout) when money stuff gets annoying.
The idea: instead of “who pays for the hotel?” or “last time I covered dinner,” you open a shared bank account with your friends.
Seems odd but hear me out... Everybody puts in a little money every week (like $10 or so) and when it builds up to be enough for a trip, the group uses that pot to pay for flights, hotels, dinners, Ubers, whatever. No scrambling or awkward IOUs at the end.
The result: less stress, more fun, and a balance leftover to put toward the next getaway.
The key? Make sure everyone agrees on the plan, be clear about who has access, and have good communication so nobody feels weird or left out.
I want to do this with my friends…it almost feels like free money once you plan that next girls trip! Haha “GIRL MATH”!
