So the Emmys last night...I enjoyed Nate Bargatze as the host!
Seth Rogen scored Lead Actor and Best Director in a Comedy Series for The Studio... was genuinely surprised and claimed how he’s never won anything in his life!
“The Pitt” won Outstanding Drama Series and “The Studio” won Outstanding Comedy Series.
But they came up with this brilliant way to keep the show moving: every winner had exactly 45 seconds for their speech.
Nate Bargatze pledged $100,000 to the Boys & Girls Club, but for every second someone went over, a thousand bucks would be deducted.
For everyone who finished early... More money got added back.
I liked watching the money go up and down all night!
And he even had kids from the charity in the room, so winners had to look them right in the eye while giving their thanks.
It was funny, a little savage, and it actually worked... no rambling monologues, just sharp, heartfelt moments.
Final total for the night…was actually well below zero…but CBS and Nate Bargatze teamed up to donate $350,000 to the Boys and Girls Club!
