I feel like we all try so hard to NOT inconvenience people. I know I do.
I couldn’t tell you the last time I asked someone for a ride to the airport or a cup of sugar from a neighbor or asked a friend if I could borrow a dress for an event….
But back in the day we all did this!
NOWW…thanks to the “convenience” of rideshare companies and online shopping, that ride can get to our house in 2 minutes and that dress can be delivered same day with Amazon.
There are a few things this is doing to us…
- We’re missing out on human connection and lacking that bond with our friends
- We’re spending money on things that maybe we don’t need to.
The Small Favors Economy is here to boost our finances, strengthen our community, and enhance our personal well-being.
You can save on various services by trading skills or time instead of money!
So, are we ready to normalize “asking for a favor” again?
Is it okay to ask a friend for a ride to LAX during rush hour? And would you be that friend willing to give the ride?
