Families Are Starting To Serve Dinner In The Afternoon!

I consider my family to be “early dinner” people…I thought 5:30pm or 6pm was on the earlier side but according to this new trend… NOPE!

Parents are ringing the dinner bell earlier now — like right after school — claiming it makes for a calmer and happier evening.

One mom claimed she was tired of giving snacks to her kids who then didn’t eat dinner. So now she just serves dinner at 4:30 p.m. every day!

Another popular time is 3:45 EVERY DAY

Kids are always hungry after they get home from school so instead of over snacking and then being too full for dinner…. Early dinner, then an evening snack.

So, is it better to eat when you’re hungry rather than when a social clock tells you? Parents say it’s LIFE changing…

I find this difficult for families who have a spouse who doesn’t get home until 6pm…for us, this would mean never eating dinner together as a family and I don’t like that either.
