All The Details From Siveya's 1st Birthday: Siveyachella!

This weekend, we celebrated my daughter Siveya’s 1st birthday at the Paddock Riding Club with a Coachella themed birthday party... and it was SO amazing. The team that put it together and every vendor made it all turn out exactly how I am imagined and I could not be more thankful.

Here's a detailed breakdown of everything you could want to know:

Planned by weddings and special events planner Marjorie Lashmet of 329events, the party took place at the Paddock Riding Club in Los Angeles that hosts special events, and provides horse boarding, riding lessons and horse show events. Kids got to enjoy pony rides from the club owner’s very own “Star,” which was a crowd favorite activity for the twins. Aiza and Maxon had a BLAST riding the pony!

329events absolutely crushed the vision and vibe of Siveyachella with a full lineup of trustworthy vendors, multiple stages, and performances by MC/DJ Mitchell DeGuzman and Nickelodeon’s The Beat Buds. I was blown away.

The most perfect special touches at Siveyachella were done by event industry creatives including Calligraphy by Michelle Tieu, Prisca’s Event Decorations, Sky Balloon Bar, and 3 Little Birds Event Planning. They all brought the colorful pastel visual and decorative elements to life. 

From the invitations, custom cake topper, bar signs, and even custom designed “artist passes” for the VIP check in area, Tieu incorporated the theme and vibe into her designs of the stationery and signage.

Upon arrival through the Paddock Riding Club front gate, guests were greeted with the friendly valet team from the Parking Company of America (Park PCA) and immediately met with a stunning 24 foot long Siveyachella marquee of lights created by Prisca’s Event Decorations. The Siveyachella marquee was a HUGE hit.

Prisca’s Event Decorations, a mother and son company owned by Prisca Luna provided customized rentals including backdrops, signs, marquee letters, props, cotton candy cart, shaved ice cart, and so much more. The cascading balloons featured throughout the party pulled the entire look together were designed by Sky Balloon Bar, a family owned company from Bellflower. 

Talking about the party and getting the vendors together, Marjorie said: “In the event industry, vendors really have to work together to bring an event to life. The community over competition mindset is truly important in the way I run my business. There’s room for everyone to win. I’m grateful for everyone’s efforts to bring this event (and every other event we produce) to life."

3 Little Birds Event Planning provided rentals, including the “ONE” dessert table, furniture, and the Siveyachella Main Stage set up where kids could sit and enjoy the performances. 

Along with the performance, kids in attendance got to enjoy a kids play area by Casasblancas_, a build a teddy bear station by The Slime Fun Shop, and custom Siveyachella 2022 merch gifted from Siveya’s godparents. I think Aiza, Maxon and our kid guests had just as much, if not more, fun than the adults!

The food and beverage selection was exactly what you’d find in the VIP section at festivals, catered by Chef Armando Salcedo of AS Gourmet Catering and intricately designed desserts by Puffect Bakery Cafe.

AS Gourmet Catering’s menu included tray-passed mini chicken and waffles, all beef sliders, flatbread pizzas, and much more delicious selections stationed across a 12 foot table spread... and it was perfect for people coming and going.

Puffect Bakery Cafe provided a selection of desserts, including a custom designed smash cake for Siveya. They brought the festival theme to life in their custom made rainbow and “1” cookies, and their decorated cupcakes and cake shooters. The dessert table featured a multi tiered macaron tower decorated with florals from Cristina’s Flowers.
