Almost 3 million people are playing WORDLE… myself included. I finally bought in to the new online game that you're probably seeing posted all over your social media.
It’s the new online game that’s become a sensation. And now it’s part of my daily routine! I swear I actually look forward to my chance to do the word puzzle every single day.
If you aren't familiar with how it all works - here's the breakdown: in the game, you get six chances to guess a five-letter word. It will tell you if you got a LETTER right by making the letter yellow, but if the placement of the letter is also correct, it will turn green!
But the online game has a catch: just one word, one puzzle, per day. So you can't get all that hooked into it, other than looking forward to the next one the next day.
Honestly, it’s the perfect distraction from this pandemic life we live. It’s not too much… you can’t get super lost and play it for hours… it’s just a little escape, you either get the word, or you don’t and move on.
What I love is that this game comes with no popup ads, no pesky login information, and no cash grabs. You literally just go to a website and play for the day.
In a world that prefers we get hooked into an endless cycle of stimulation, Wordle is a challenge to slow down, relax and enjoy in moderation. I LIKE IT!
Also, just a thought for parents, I feel like you could totally introduce your kids to the game, as well. Obviously my twins are too young to be playing it right now, but if you have middle school or high school aged kids, you can TOTALLY have them play and compete with you.
