If you're as excited as I am to be able to really celebrate the 4th of July this year (after being in major lockdown last year for the holiday) - then these are the spots you need to know about where you can watch firework shows in Southern California.

In the Los Angeles area, some major fireworks shows include:

Hollywood Forever Cemetery: the fireworks show will follow a screening of 'Dirty Dancing' which begins at 7:15pm.

Marina del Rey: Fisherman’s Village, 13755 Fiji Way. The fireworks start at 9 p.m and those who wish to view the show from Burton Chace Park must register for free entry beforehand.

Studio City: Universal Studios Hollywood, fireworks start at 9pm.

Valencia: Six Flags Magic Mountain, fireworks start at 9pm.

There are SEVERAL more locations in the Los Angeles area, and a full list can be found here.

In the Orange County area there are also many locations to view fireworks:

Five Point Ampitheater: in Irvine. The fireworks begin at 8pm.

Knott's Berry Farm: in Buena Park. The fireworks begin at 9pm.

San Clemente Pier: fireworks begin at 9pm.

There are also several more locations in Orange County that cane be found here.

Other major spots around the SoCal area that will be showing fireworks include Lake Elsinore - fireworks will be launched from the T-peninsula of the lake at 9 p.m. Free viewing locations include Lakepoint Park, Summerly Park, Swick-Matich Park, Whiskers Fishing Beach and a portion of the levee system - Pechanga Resort in Temecula, and fireworks at the Lake Arrowhead village.

I know my family will be grilling and enjoying a day in the pool before finding some fireworks for the kids to enjoy!

Hope you have a happy and SAFE 4th of July!!!
