When in doubt, get Derek Hough to step in and help things out, right?
We just found out which celebrities would be competing on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars, but another well-known fact will be joining the cast as a judge this season: Derek Hough.
Derek will be joining long-time judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli on the judging panel, stepping in for Len Goodman who is sitting this season out as a judge due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
However, this doesn't mean Len is not going to be involved in the show at all! If you're a fan of Len as a judge, don't worry about having a season without him entirely. He will be sharing his expertise throughout the season remotely from his home in the UK.
If you haven't been totally keeping track, this season of Dancing will be the 29th season - the last time Derek Hough appeared on the show was as one of the professional dancers during season 23. He has won the mirrorball SIX times.
Derek also currently serves as a judge on NBC's World of Dance alongside Jennifer Lopez and Ne-Yo, so he is no stranger to judging in the dance world as well as competing.
