Parents - we've been in quarantine with our kids for MONTHS now. Going on four months, to be exact. And it can get a little exhausting, to be completely honest!
But are you actively doing things to make sure you stay present with your kids, even if you're working full time from home and running out of fun activities you all can do together?
Kourtney Kardashian recently opened up about what she does at home with her three kids - sons Mason (10) and Reign (5) and daughter Penelope (8 tomorrow!).
Kourtney revealed that even though she is still working through this pandemic, she has worked hard to stay off her phone any time she is spending time with the kids.
"I always try my absolute best when I'm with my kids not to be on my phone, to be present in what we're doing, and have those moments where you're looking in each other's eyes and connecting," she said in an interview for her Vogue Arabia.
Now I know how hard that can be for working parents, but if you can't be off your phone ALL the time when you're with your kids, then make sure after a certain time of night, you put down the phone and JUST hang out with the kids. I think we all could take a note on this!
Kourtney also talked about how one day a week in her home, they don't have a schedule at all, and I think this is also something we could adopt.
"I usually take one day on the weekend where we have no plans, we hang out at the house in pajamas or sweats... We sleep in. I like to not be on a schedule on that day."
We're all so focused on our schedules, getting from one commitment to the next (even if the commitments are virtual!) and taking one day to NOT be working against a schedule would be so nice.
So, put down your phones. Ignore the schedule once a week. And connect with your kids!
