Chance The Rapper Postpones Tour To Be Present For His Wife And Daughters

As if you didn't already LOVE Chance the Rapper and his wife, Kristen Corley's relationship - this is going to make you love their love even more.

The couple now has two daughters - Kensli, who was born in 2015, and Marli, who Kristen just shared the exciting news of her birth earlier this week - and Chance has decided that it is more important for him to be present for his family at this time than for him to be on tour.

Yes, sad news for those of you who had tickets and were anticipating seeing Chance on tour soon, BUT the good news is, he's STILL GOING ON TOUR, he's just taking some time off before that tour starts.

Chance announced the hard decision yesterday, alongside an adorable photo of him with both of his daughters. And it's clear he didn't take this decision lightly:

Chance shared why this decision was the right call in his caption, and it's clear that this is something he needs to do for Kristen, for both of his daughters, and definitely for himself.

"When Kensli was born, I went on tour 2 weeks later and missed some of the most important milestones in her life, but more importantly I was absent when her mother needed me the most. At this point as a husband and father of two I realize that I can’t make that mistake again. I need to be as helpful and available as possible to my wife in these early months of raising Kensli and Marli."

He also revealed that the tour will now instead kick off January 15th, which, when you think about it, isn't even that far away! We're basically to Halloween, and then it's Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, and Chance's tour opener!

Chance and Kristen just got married in March, so they're STILL NEWLYWEDS!

I have so much respect for Chance making this decision and know how important it is that he is there to support his wife and be there for both of his daughters right now.

Other dads: take notes! Your wife needs you, especially in the weeks following birth. There's so much that goes on for moms and they need all the support they can get from their partner.
