Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton Have Bonded Over Motherhood

Day Twelve: The Championships - Wimbledon 2019

Through all the rumors that Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton don't like each other, despite being married to royal brothers, Prince Harry and Prince William, there is one new report that can encourage us all the relax.

Allegedly, the pair has been bonding ever since Meghan and Harry welcomed their son, Archie. And it's not shocking to me that something like motherhood - and raising children together in the royal family - would bring the two together more than ever.

We recently saw the pair together at Wimbeldon, along with Kate's sister Pippa, and it was one of the first times where they looked incredibly relaxed and like they were having a good time! Plus, they were without kids, so they probably were able to relax and have a little more fun than other times we've seen them out and about together, with the kids.

After attending the tennis tournament, a royal source told PEOPLE that "there is a sense of relationship strengthening" between the two royal women.

The source says they were "genuine and sweet" together, and when Meghan's good friend Serena Williams lost her match which they were there to see, Kate consoled her by putting her hand out and rubbing Meghan's back.

I think it's about time we all stop casting the two against each other. When you really think about it, they are just about the only two people who can understand their unique situations. So they need each other! And the less we all feed into the idea that they don't get along, the easier it will be for them to grow a relationship and ultimately be there for each other.

Motherhood is hard enough outside of the kind of scrutiny these women get from being married into the royal family, so let's cut them a little slack and celebrate their friendship and sisterhood.
