Anna Faris Revealed Why She 'Struggles With Marriage'

Premiere Of Lionsgate And Pantelion Film's "Overboard" - Arrivals

We all know that celebrity relationships and marriages are notorious for not lasting - and after Anna Faris has gone through two divorces, it's understandable that she may not fully be on board with the concept of marriage.

Agree with her or not (I personally am super pro-marriage, if it works for you!), she does have some great points about what marriage really means, after being asked about if there may be a chance of marrying her boyfriend of about a year and a half.

The actress got super real while talking with divorce attorney Laura Wasser for her Divorce Sucks! podcast. When asked if there may be "wedding bells" in the future with her boyfriend, Michael Barrett, she was honest, saying:

“I will say I believe in love and monogamy and I believe in the commitment with a relationship. But I do struggle, having gone through it a couple of times now, Laura, with the idea of our legal system.”

Anna further explained, “I struggle with that on kind of a feminist level.”

As someone who is happily married, it is hard to see exactly what she means, but as many of us know, she was married to ex Chris Pratt for eight years before their split in August 2017, and shares a 6-year-old son named Jack with Chris, and before that was married to actor Ben Indra for three years.

It's clear that commitment is not the issue for Anna, but rather the legal side of marriage as well as the idea that perhaps marriage can become part of a "checklist":

"When I first got married... most women I think — I don't mean to be gender specific, maybe most people do — there's that checklist of accomplishments... It's like, get married, whatever... I think that there's that youthful [fantasy]."

While Anna and Chris may not have worked out in terms of marriage, they have been vocal about being able to co-parent Jack together:

"Grudge holding is not something that Chris and I do, so, we wanted to make sure, of course, that Jack was happy, but that we were happy and supportive of each other."

I know we were all heart broken when Anna and Chris broke up, but somehow I have fallen in love with them apart as much as I loved them together!
