Some days you wake up and learn new information that completely catches you off guard... like did you know that Eddie Murphy has nine children??
And that he and his long-time girlfriend Paige Butcher is now expecting his tenth child, their second together?
Yep, you read that right! Eddie will be a father of TEN within the coming months. And we need to send a huuuge congratulations to he and Paige on their soon-to-be bundle of joy.
Photos of Paige wearing a flowy maxi dress came out today and clearly show off her growing bump.
“Eddie Murphy and longtime girlfriend Paige Butcher are pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child in December,” a rep for Murphy said in a statement.
Eddie and Paige share a 2-year-old daughter named Izzy Oona, but where do the other Murphy kids fall into place?
Eddie's oldest child is a son named Eric, who is 29 years old. Eddie had Eric with Paulette McNeely. Next are his five children with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy: his daughters, Bella Zahra, 16, Zola Ivy, 18, Shayne Audra, 23, and Bria, 28, plus 25-year-old son Miles Mitchell.
He also has 27-year-old son Christian with Tamara Hood.
Eddie also shares 11-year-old daughter Angel Iris with one of the Spice Girls, Mel B.
While many of the kids are half siblings, it seems that they do get together from time to time - Bria shared a photo on Instagram of the entire family celebrating Christmas together in 2016.
Eddie certainly makes some beautiful children!
While supporting his daughter Bria at an art show in 2016, Eddie commented on how great his kids are:
“I really got lucky with my kids. There really isn’t a bad one in the bunch, everyone turned out to be really good people.”
He continued:
“None of my kids are like me, and I’m sure parents say this all of the time, they are all totally different from each other. None of them are chips off the old block. They all have their own thing, they’re good kids.”
And now he's got a tenth to gush over on the way!
