Audrey Hobert Shares How Bestie Gracie Abrams Helped Launch Her Solo Career

OK, we want to be besties too! Audrey Hobert shared with Ryan Seacrest how her childhood friend turned roommate Gracie Abrams helped launch her own unexpected solo music career.

Audrey's debut album Who's the Clown? features hit track "Sue Me" but being an artist wasn't always Audrey's big plan.

The "Bowling Alley" singer shared with Seacrest she initially was going into television before she started helping pen songs for Gracie's second album and later her own music.

"I always had such an interest in pop music," Audrey shared, revealing that while living with Abrams they started naturally writing together.

"I couldn't be more lucky because she was a trusted friend and so good at what she did and every step of the way I've felt this confidence to go full force and do it," Audrey shared. "I was so green and I had never done it ... and I was never made to feel like I was an amateur. ... She just trusted me."

Listen back to the full interview below to learn more from Audrey and to hear what it was like performing for the first time ever on The Tonight Show. Plus, which shows also inspire her music? She's a Sex & the City girlie!
