Astronaut Suni Williams Reveals It's Easier to Sleep In Space

Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, the astronauts who were in stuck in space for nearly nine months, are adjusting to life back on Earth and revealing all.

One thing that surprised us was Suni Williams said it’s actually easier to sleep in space! Suni shared you’re basically floating so there is no having to “adjust” throughout the night, it's silent and there are no interruptions.

In fact, some astronauts say they only need 6 hours to feel fully rested! And astronauts who snore on Earth don’t snore in space. The lack of gravity reduces nasal congestion, leading to quieter sleep.

They have no mattresses and no pillows because there is no need for support. Instead, they sleep in sleeping bags velcro’d to the wall so they don’t float away.

That said, coming back to Earth is an adjustment: the International Space Station orbits Earth every 90 minutes, so astronauts get 16 sunrises and sunsets every day which obviously messes with your internal clock.
