American Idol is back in full swing and viewers have been graced with the show's first-ever father-daughter duo. McKayla Stacey has impressed the judges this season, following in the footsteps of her father, Phil, who competed on the show back in 2006 and just so happened to miss her birth to audition!
"I've gotten a lot of support from my dad's old fans," McKayla shared with Ryan Seacrest, revealing her dad was more nervous for her to audition than she was.
"Having done it before I was so scared," Phil admitted. "I'm obviously very proud of her. ... Just watching her go through that and do so well, it really made my heart swell."
