Do you struggle to fall asleep? Do you struggle to stay asleep? Ryan Seacrest shared on-air there are actually certain foods that can help you sleep better if you eat them before bedtime.
While some say you shouldn't eat too close to sleep, research has show these foods promote drowsiness:
CHEESE: Cheese contains tryptophan, which reduces stress and promotes sleep. 72% of cheese eaters reported sleeping well and having pleasant dreams.
POPCORN: It’s low-calorie if you make it right and boosts serotonin to help you feel calm and sleepy.
TOAST: Carbs affect insulin levels, which appear to play a role in regulating your body’s sleep-wake clock, but keep it light.
