Meghan Trainor is an open book. The songstress joined Ryan Seacrest on Wednesday, July 20, and shared her new single "Bad For Me" was influenced by a real-life moment.
"Bad For Me" features Teddy Swims off Trainor's album, Takin' It Back, coming out October 21st.
The singer shared that "songwriting got more emotional" after the birth of her first child, Riley.
"This, unfortunately, was a real-life situation and I sat with my therapist and wrote a beautiful letter and I sent it and I got no response and it was tough so I wrote this song about it," Meghan shared, adding that while it was tough to talk about, it's now helping others.
Meghan added that her second single, however, will be more upbeat.
"The second single is an upbeat I-love-myself-anthem, I-look-good … the album is going to be a huge party."
