Looking to buy a new home can be scary, and if you’re looking at listings, there are a lot of phrases that can be considered a red flag that you need to look out for before falling in love with the house.
Ryan Seacrest shared on-air the three phrases on home listings that are actually warning signs… and these are:
DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH - This means that it is a nice house in an unpopular or “rough” neighborhood.
ORIGINAL DETAILS or VINTAGE - This can mean that the previous owners did NOTHING to update this house so everything is old and outdated.
WELL-MAINTAINED - When there aren’t any features worth mentioning, they say this instead, even when it isn’t true. This should be a standard for any home and not worth mentioning.
Be aware of these red flags when shopping for a home!
