Students Invent Tastee Tape: Edible Tape To Hold Your Burrito Together!

If you've ever eaten a burrito, you know all too well about the problem of getting a huge, overstuffed burrito and it falling apart after the first bite.

However, engineering students at Johns Hopkins University invented what they are calling "Tastee Tape," or edible tape strips that can be used to hold together burritos, wraps, gyros, calzones, sushi, and more!

Ryan Seacrest chatted with Marie Eric and Erin Walsh, just a couple of the students that played their part in inventing this miracle food tape.

"So what is it made out of?" Seacrest asked the creators.

"So unfortunately we're currently in the patent application process so I can't disclose the ingredients," Walsh told Seacrest. "All of the ingredients are completely food safe, edible... so it's completely safe to eat."

So what's their next invention? Something to hold club sandwiches together? Glue for pepperoni pizza?

Their response? "Who knows what the future holds."
