TikTok always has viral trends that get millions of views with thousands of people trying them out because they seem like a new life hack or health trend that we can easily incorporate into our lives. But are they safe or effective? Most likely not!

Ryan Seacrest shared some of the current trends on TikTok on-air and... you should probably not try them.

DRINKING ALOE VERA JUICE - This is a huge trend on TikTok right now. People are buying jugs of it and saying it clears breakouts, improves digestion and improves your well-being.

DOES IT WORK?
No, and it could be really bad for you!

NASAL TANNING SPRAY - There’s a spray that activates certain hormones that will tan your skin, even indoors. You're supposed to inhale it through your nose...

DOES IT WORK?
No! Experts say it could give you melanoma (skin cancer) while also causing vomiting and dizziness.

RICE WATER FOR YOUR HAIR - The water left after cooking rice will make your hair long and glossy…and promote hair growth.

DOES IT WORK?
No... but it doesn't hurt you.

HYDROGEN PEROXIDE for EAR WAX - People on TikTok are pouring hydrogen peroxide in their ears to reduce ear wax.

DOES IT WORK?
It does, but it will also irritate your ear canal... and remember, ear wax serves a purpose.

CHLOROPHYLL WATER - Another big trend shows TikTokers putting drops of liquid chlorophyll in a glass of water. They say it boosts energy, heals wounds, clears acne, relieves gas, and more.

DOES IT WORK?
It's debatable... It's likely safe if you don’t overdo it. You can also get chlorophyll from dark veggies.

If you see any of these harmful or unsafe TikTok trends, it's best to keep scrolling! Or at the very least, look up more information on it before trying... even if you see it has millions of likes or lots of people trying it on the app.
