However, research shows that there is a way to endure pain longer by doing this.
Ryan Seacrest shared on-air the hack that studies show can help ease the pain for a moment.
SWEAR.
Researchers had people stick their hands in buckets of ice water. Those who swore were able to handle the pain 40 seconds longer than those who didn’t swear.
It’s not appropriate, but it can help! Hot tip: don’t swear AT anyone if you’re in pain.
