You’ve probably seen the TikTok of a mom secretly recording her child’s babysitter beautifully singing The Little Mermaid’s "Part of Your World" while playing with the child. Delaney Renee, the babysitter in that now viral video, later landed an audition on the 20th season of American Idol.
The singer told Ryan Seacrest on-air what she felt like seeing her video get posted and have the reaction it did. When I found out she was recording I was put back at first but the second she showed me, I really saw myself from a different view and I was like ‘sure why not, post it, let’s go for it.’
Her Idol audition brought all three judges to vote “yes,” giving Delaney the golden ticket to Hollywood.
