If you're looking for a new job, a cover letter can be key. Ryan Seacrest shared on-air in today's hack there are three common phrases you'll want to avoid though.
According to a prominent job recruiter, these are 3 phrases you should never use:
"TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN": Use their name if you know it…otherwise use something like “Hiring Manager” or “Personnel Manager”.
“I BELIEVE…”: Don’t be wishy-washy. Be confident.
“SELF-STARTER”: Too overused. Be specific about your qualities and achievements.
