Turns out, we've been using laundry detergent all wrong! You know how you fill the cup to the fill line? That's not right...

Ryan Seacrest shared in today's hack we need to stop using the fill line on the detergent cap to decide how much soap our washing machine actually needs. That is actually WAY too much detergent.

For a regular top-loading washer, here’s what you need:

- TWO TEASPOONS OF LIQUID DETERGENT

or

- TWO TABLESPOONS OF POWDERED

And you may be able to get away with less than that. Why? It’s better for your washer, it’s better for clothes and it’s better for your wallet. Detergent is expensive!
