Elton John is more than just a mentor to Ed Sheeran. The "Shivers" singer shared with Ryan Seacrest he chats with the legend every single morning.
Sheeran joined Seacrest on-air fresh off the release of his latest single off his forthcoming album Equals or =. Seacrest revealed "Shivers" is on his running playlist along with Elton's new Dua Lipa track "Cold Heart" which brought up the Grammy winner.

"Isn’t it so great that Elton is back?" Sheeran shared. "I’m so happy for him. ... [We talk all the time,] especially since I’ve become a dad. But, he’d ring me like every week before and I had a friend pass away in March who was close with Elton too and since then, I’m not lying here, he rings me every single day," Ed added. "Every single day in the morning we have a catch-up."
The "Bad Habits" singer added that Elton's a "kind soul" and "everything that artists should be to generations below them.”
