There are a lot of questions still remaining when it comes to COVID. For example, why are some people barely affected and why are some people critically affected? What are these new variants and how will they affect our lives? The vaccines work great, but will we need a booster shot?
As we await all the answers, more findings are becoming aware and the latest, Sisanie shared on-air, is fascinating.
According to a new report, regular consumption of at least one cup of coffee daily was associated with a lower risk of COVID-19 infection. They tested 40,000 people in the U.K. and researchers found "habitual consumption of 1 or more cups of coffee per day was associated with about a 10% decrease in risk of COVID-19 compared to people who don’t drink coffee."
So, how come?
Coffee contains antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and that helps against COVID-19 severity.
Further findings also suggested daily consumption of vegetables also reduced the risk of coronavirus infection too so eat your veggies while you’re at it!
