Xoxo, Gossip Girl is back! A new HBO Max Gossip Girl revival premieres today and Sisanie shared on-air fans of the original will be pleasantly surprised with the modern revamp.
Sis shared the revival already has made some improvements on the original. For starters, the cast features far more non-white actors and includes LGBTQ+ characters. The boundaries will also be pushed considering the platform is HBO Max.
That said, some things are staying the same.
The creators say it’s set in the same world as the original CW Gossip Girl, so characters from the original could show up. Narration is also still performed by Kristen Bell, and unlike some streaming shows, the new episodes will be released on a weekly basis, just like the episodes from the original series were on The CW.

There are 10 episodes but only 6 have been announced up until August 12th.
