Adam Lambert’s used his newfound downtime during COVID-19 lockdown to good use. The “Roses” singer shared with Ryan Seacrest via Zoom he’s working on a forthcoming musical based off a true story featuring a bevy of collabs.
“I’ve been focusing on a couple of projects that I probably wouldn’t have had the attention span for otherwise,” Adam shared. “I’ve been writing a lot of music via Zoom, … but it’s for a musical actually. I’m developing a musical in a different way with a lot of people from the pop world, a lot of collaborations, it’s very exciting.”
Adam couldn’t dish too much but shared it’s based off a true story.
“We’re just looking at music right now,” he added. “The story is based on a guy that really lived so it’s a real-life story, but it’s a guy that you probably don’t know which is very exciting. But, that’s all I can say right now.”
Until then, Adam’s planning on celebrating his upcoming birthday on Friday, January 29, with fans, performing a livestream concert at The Roxy.
“I’m doing a concert on my birthday so on my list is I just want the night to be as good as it can be,” Adam concluded, revealing he’ll be performing two shows so all coasts can catch it.
