Halloween will be here before we know it and while we’re not quite sure how it is going to look this year with COVID-19, people are desperate to figure out how to safely trick-or-treat.
Kids have already lost so much this year, everyone wants to make sure that Halloween isn’t entirely ruined either.
While the CDC may have listed trick-or-treating as a “high-risk” Halloween activity, they have not said that children cannot go and collect candy.
So, people are using color-coded pumpkins again to help! Remember teal pumpkins on your doorstep meant your house is food allergy-friendly? Well this year it’s all about purple pumpkins. Purple pumpkins are being used this year to mark “safe houses.”
By placing a purple pumpkin outside your home this Halloween, you will be telling the neighborhood that you are a safe location when it comes to trick-or-treating. This means that the house has been practicing all the health guidelines when it comes to COVID-19 and do not have a positive individual in their home.
